The 99 Names of Allah are Distorted! God's Names found in the Quran Alone

God informs us in the Quran that to Him belong the Beautiful Names:

God, there is no god except Him. To Him belong the Beautiful Names. 20:8

He is God: the Creator, the Maker, the Designer. To Him belong the Beautiful Names. Glorifying Him is what is in the heavens and the earth. He is the Dignified, the Wise. 59:24

God specifically asks us to call Him by His Names:

To God belong the Beautiful Names, so call Him by them and keep away from those who distort His Names. They will be repaid for what they used to do. 7:180

We should therefore familiarise ourselves with His names.

We also learn in verse 7:180 that there are those who distort His names!

Most Muslims insist that God has 99 names, all based on a hadith that Prophet Muhammad allegedly said (Sahih Bukhari 50:894). However, when we analyze these names against the Quran, we find numerous names have been distorted and are either not found in the Quran or not found as an official name.
