What is our life purpose in the Quran and the reason God created Earth?

 

God designed the heavens and the earth for a specific purpose. 

 

Why do they not reflect on themselves? GOD did not create the heavens and the earth, and everything between them, except for a specific purpose, and for a specific life span. However, most people, with regard to meeting their Lord, are disbelievers. 30:8

 

We did not create the heavens and the earth just to play. We created them for a specific purpose, but most of them do not know. 44:38-39

 

So what is the specific purpose God is talking about? 

 

Firstly let’s remember God created everything on Earth to serve us. Some references are as follows:

 

• The sun & the moon (14:33, 6:96)

• The night to sleep and rest (25:47)

• The rain, crops & trees (14:32, 16:10)

• The sea and it’s meat (16:14)

• The livestock to ride and eat (40:79) 

• Landmarks & stars to navigate (16:16, 6:97)

• Trees for fuel & fire (36:80, 56:71-73)

• Pure water from the sky (25:48-49)

 

Knowing that God created everything on Earth to serve us, why were we even sent to Earth? 

 

Let’s start from the beginning. 

 

We learn an important lesson from the history of Adam, he was in heaven and was sent to Earth as he did not uphold God’s complete authority. He was duped by Satan’s whispers and ate from the forbidden tree. 

 

We said, "O Adam, live with your wife in Paradise, and eat therefrom generously, as you please, but do not approach this tree, lest you sin." 2:35

 

We learn Adam was sent to Earth because he disobeyed God:

 

They ate from it, whereupon their bodies became visible to them, and they tried to cover themselves with the leaves of Paradise. Adam thus disobeyed his Lord, and fell. 20:121

 

Adam was enticed by Satan’s false promises:

 

But the devil whispered to him, saying, "O Adam, let me show you the tree of eternity and unending kingship." 20:120

 

But the devil duped them, and caused their eviction therefrom. We said, "Go down as enemies of one another. On Earth shall be your habitation and provision for awhile. 2:36

 

We said, "Go down therefrom, all of you. When guidance comes to you from Me, those who follow My guidance will have no fear, nor will they grieve. 2:38

 

We can conclude we were all sent to Earth as we did not uphold God’s complete authority in the heavens. By disobeying God that means we obeyed Satan, which caused our eviction therefrom. 

 

If we wish to return to God safe and attain His approval, we must DENOUNCE SATAN and worship GOD ALONE in this life.

 

Our mission on Earth and our soul purpose is to choose God or Satan for our eternal life. This is our final chance. We must not waste it. 

 

We either choose God or Satan. There are no other alternatives. If you are an atheist, or worship Jesus, or worship statues or even worship your own ego, then you have been duped by the devil and are following nothing but Satan. If you are not worshipping God alone, then Satan has mislead you into taking another path and you are really worshipping nothing. 

 

GOD knows full well that whatever they worship besides Him are really nothing. He is the Almighty, the Most Wise. 29:42

 

They even worship female gods besides Him; as a matter of fact, they only worship a rebellious devil. 4:117

 

We are constantly being tested in our belief and our work while we are here, to see which path we choose from our own free will, whether we decide to turn to God and compete in righteousness or follow Satan and commit evil. 

 

He is the One who created the heavens and the earth in six days - and His (earthly) domain was completely covered with water - in order to test you, to distinguish those among you who work righteousness. Yet, when you say, "You will be resurrected after death," those who disbelieve would say, "This is clearly witchcraft. 11:7

 

The One who created death and life for the purpose of distinguishing those among you who would do better. He is the Almighty, the Forgiving. 67:2 

 

GOD created the heavens and the earth for a specific purpose, in order to pay each soul for whatever it earned, without the least injustice. 45:22

 

We must grow and develop our souls while we are here. Those who advance their souls will be the successful ones:
 

and when the graves are overturned: each self will know how it advanced and how it regressed. 82:4-5

To your Lord, on that Day, is the place of settlement. The human being will be informed on that Day of what he did to his credit and what he did to his debit. 75:12-13
 

Those who choose to devote themselves to God with their money and their lives will attain the high ranks in Paradise.

The One who created death and life so that He may test you as to whose work is better. He is the Dignified, the Forgiver. 67:2

 

It is vital that we worship GOD ALONE and do good works. We must not get caught up in the vanities of this world. Our souls are on the line.  This is our final chance. 

 

Satan plays many tricks in order to deceive.

It is decreed that anyone who allies himself with him, he will mislead him and guide him to the agony of Hell. 22:4
